Wool and yarn on burlap
The idea behind this hooked rug comes from the song “Come Josephine in My Flying Machine”. The image is what I pictured as a child listening to this song, unaware that the “flying machine” in the song is actually just an airplane. I chose the colours in hopes to evoke a childish element to the design.
